Book 1: Finding His Way Home – 4 stars

We have Joshua who has just graduated college and decides to travel from Kentucky to North Carolina to find his birth parents. He had taken an DNA test & it points him to the small town of Bennett Wood. Jay is a long-haul trucker who left Bennett Wood in his rearview long ago. He is finally back in town to get his mother’s home ready to sell as she had died a couple of years previously. Not sure what the scoop was about that, he could have rented it out instead of it staying empty. Joshua & Jay meet in a diner and hit it off instantly and end up sleeping together. Joshua sneaks out the next morning and goes on his way. Jay is toying with the idea of giving up his life on the road and settling down in one place. Both thinks the other is out for a one-night stand & won’t be in town all that long. A little communication goes a long way guys! Joshua & Jay come to an agreement that Joshua is going to help fix up the house and Jay is going to introduce Joshua to the people whom the DNA test pointed him to. What Joshua gets is being told that he was wrong & to get out. Joshua then runs into (I don’t remember his name) someone who is a triplet & it turns out that they are his brothers. At this point, I knew exactly what happened. Joshua meets the triplets and finds out that there is family out there that wants him. Joshua and Jay finally have a discussion and love concurs all ? My guess is that how they all are brothers is going to play out in the subsequent books.

Book 2: Finding His Guys – 3 stars

So poor Luck’s family is in the middle of the scandal that we learn about in the 1st book. His father used his sperm to father a bunch of kids. Luke & his mother are feeling the brunt of the town’s distaste and are being actively shunned. This is extremely hard on Luke as everyone he has be friendly with want nothing to do with him, even his 5th grade teacher turns her back. Not sure why the family gets put into the same pot as the wrongdoer. Anyway, Nathaniel is upset that his family is going to be getting rid of the family farm. His dream is to open a sanctuary & he is studying woodpeckers that he sees on the farm. I love Woodpeckers, they are so pretty. Eli comes from the poor side of town & is struggling to make ends meet to continue with college. I enjoyed the fact that any miscommunication was discussed as adults and it wasn’t written as a way to bring unnecessary drama for drama’s sake. I am disappointed that there really wasn’t any interaction between Luke & his brothers. Hopefully that will change as the stories progress.

Book 3: Finding His Second Chance – 4 stars

Alex is one of the triplets that we met in the first book. Griffin was Alex’s best friend when they were teenagers. Griffin’s parents kicked him out when he came out to them & he leaves town. Alex did not go with him & Griffin didn’t forgive him. When Griffin comes back to twon to open a gallery, he submits his application, which Alex’s approves, but the final approval comes from Griffin’s uncle who denies it because Griffin’s entire family is homophobic. When Alex goes to discuss this with Griffin, they decide to talk to each other and things come to light about what happened all those years ago. I love a good second chance read.

Book 4: Finding His Family – 4 stars

This time around we have Sean, another triplet, who was involved in a serious accident which leaves him with a case of PTSD as well as strong case of anxiety & panic attacks. Hawk is raising his daughter on his own after his husband lives him. I hated him. Sean & Hawk meet on-line & find out that they both have a love a nature. Ellie was a sweetheart. Sometimes kids don’t work well in a story, but it worked here.

Book 5: Finding His Revenge – 1 stars

I did not like this one & actually skimmed though it. I didn’t like Kit. Also, getting back to Luke, he still won’t have anything to do with Joshua but he actually shakes Kit’s hand. Why? Joshua didn’t do anything to him.

Book 6: Finding His Trio – 4 stars

This triad was so much better than Luke’s, maybe because I don’t really like Luke. Victor is the last triplet and he has it bad for Rabbie & his husband Grant. This is not the first time they attempted to bring a 3rd into their relationship and Rabbie isn’t sure if he wants to try again. Grant is patient, but when they think they are going to lose Victor, they agree to try and it works.

Book 7: Finding His Silver Fox – 1 star

Unfortunately I ended up skimming this one as well as I couldn’t stand Cade.
