about a lackluster restart? Well, cast those doubts aside, this episode doesn’t hesitate to jump right into where it left off and quickly move forward at a fast pace with dicey monarch encounters, sage rivalries, continued deadly Uncrowned King tournament battles and, sadly, more poignant deaths of likable characters. If that isn’t enough to whet your palette, how about throwing an awakening dreadgod in the mix. Both Lindon and Yerin are mostly separated with him having to tip-toe and insert himself into the monarch’s business in hopes to not lose Dross; while Yerin and the other Acura clan members must continue to compete in the tournament with Yerin also having to contend with her unwelcome parasitic sidekick. Lindon continues his advancement using the most unconventional and, frankly, macabre means. And, if you were expecting more story arc involving the band of weary companions, Lindon, Yerin, Dross, Eithan, Mercy and others, you won’t be let down.

Will Wight is an absolute treasure when it comes to writing this and other fantasies and Travis Baldree joins him in making the audio performance portion like icing on a cake.
