The author takes scientific liberties with the story showing his clear lack of understanding as it pertains to the scientific method. It sounds like someone engaged in apologetics attempting to write a story all for the sake of pushing an afterlife theme. For the most part, the story was moderately entertaining, although it was lacking a connection to the characters. In my opinion, I would classify this as fantasy long before sci-fi.
The narration was very dragnet-style. Everything was very matter of fact In tone. It became very annoying very quickly.
