Like the title says but the author thinks he is cool. Orin is dumbfounded that his clan turns on him and uses a spell of race change to change him into a Goblin. After listening to this book I have no idea why it took them so long to do it. He is condescending, quick to anger, and not very smart. He is quick to betray allies and be a jerk to everyone around him.

As for his interactions with women, it would not surprise me he would tip his trilby and say, “my lady”

The game has some stupid rules that couldn’t exist in any real game. Somehow NPC time runs at 20 times the rate of PCs. The game also keeps around God-level Beta monsters because….the assassins the game sent do kill it didn’t get the job done. Nope, no delete button, no cleaning the drive, nothing. The game has to send other NPCs to kill the other NPC, and if they fail? Well, just ignore it for a couple of years. It isn’t explicitly said, but apparently, a player can only have one character as much is made of deleting your character before you can make a new one. I can’t imagine any but the most hard-core of gamers would play that way.

Then he has a side-kick/former NPC that he just casually belittles and orders around and then sacrifices it to the Shadow God. It apparently works out fine because the side-kick just respawns a few minutes later and the level 500 God is fine with a completely worthless sacrifice. If there is no loss there is no sacrifice.
