setting is intriguing and story slowly unfolds so the world remains mysterious.
I did have to speed up narrator since it was too slow for my taste, but voices are done well.
the first few chapters are a struggle in pacing due to very little happening besides hunt/feed. however 30% through the first book activities diversified and the world opens up for the reader to discover
