I was worried that I wouldn’t like this book. I was wrong. It isn’t the greatest in the genre but it’s pretty good. I like the slow grind and incremental world building. It brings everything to life instead of it being some guy that is reluctant or too overpowered. Can’t stand “reluctant heroes”. Bleh. Anyway, this book is worth your credit. It should go without saying but I’ll say it… Jeff Hays is the fucking man. One of my favorite narrators. He in fact brought this book to my attention. Enjoy.
