This romantic LGBT novel makes use of the upstairs downstairs Downton Abbey social divisions for some delicious cat fights between Oz and the lover’s mother as well as other characters from the entitled class. The novel also has a lot of heart and warmth that nicely offsets the “itchy” (spelled with a B) social back biting that can become tedious if one does not find the romantic interests believable engendering caring for those character’s. This book has all the right elements which blend seamlessly into this literary feast that leaves the reader/listener satisfies and sated.

The narrator, Joel Leslie, pulls off the most regal upper crust accent and more common lower class accents without becoming unintelligible. This type of book is right up his alley and Joel bowls a 300 in this rendition.
