I’m not what you call a picky listener. I’ve listened to hundreds of audio books through Audible and my library. This was in the top 2 worst ever. I got this in preparation for a 6 hour drive with family, all of whom like true crime, so I downloaded this for the trip. Everyone in the car wanted to turn it off after 30 minutes. This was the story of the author’s interest in true crime and podcasting, not a story about the Delphi murders. And I can’t stress enough how little I care about what got the author interested in true crime. We kept skipping chapters hoping to get to the actual crime, but I will tell you it isn’t in the first 45 minutes, at least not in any significant sense. I didn’t order a biography of someone I never heard of, which is what (at least the first 45 minutes) this is.
