What a disappointment, if Mr. Roberts had spent as much time describing the Lost World of the Old Ones as he did bemoaning other hikers (like himself) this book would have been worth it. Instead, Mr. Roberts considers himself to be above the rest of us in that only he and those he deems deserving should be allowed access to these sites. In all fairness, Mr. Roberts does refer to the damage that some people do or the ravages of treasure hunters but for the most part, what Mr. Roberts describes is a condescending view of any intruders other than his chosen are trespassing.
