One of my more favorite reads this year! Great story with a unique system. The story was engaging and had a good pace. I liked that the main character isn’t some mindless killing machine, young and naïve or dumb. Which is refreshing. Would recommend this book if you are looking to get into card building stories. Great start to a series, can’t wait for the second to release. Jeff Hays was amazing with the narration; he did not disappoint.
