The narration on this book is beautiful. Consistent tone and speed, but still displaying a range of emotions and differentiating between voices without being over the top and dramatic. The book itself is long, but split up into many small chapters. I find it perfect for falling asleep to. The cases that it covers go way back, and they give you information on the nature of serial killers, the science behind studying them, going beyond just the case facts. My only qualm is that because the chapters are so short and so much information is given, it feels sort of rushed. You hear one 10 minute case study of a horrific murder, and you barely have time to process it and think “damn that’s crazy…” before you immediately hear about a completely different and equally as horrific murder. It’s a lot of information in a short amount of time, if you call 100+ chapters short…. but it’s so intriguing and the narration is so well done that I honestly can say it’s near perfect for m.
