I put off listening to this for awhile I didn’t think I would enjoy it and the description certainly doesn’t do it justice, I should have never had any doubts though knowing it was written by William D. Arand and Narrated by Jeff Hays whom have both done fantastic work in what I’ve read and listened to.
The main character is a little under developed especially his appearance which makes it easy to slip into the mindset of the main character and put yourself in his shows to better enjoy the universe created here. There are some controversial things in the book but nothing that anyone should really be offended by if they actually read or listen to it past the first few chapters. The supporting characters are all fleshed out amazingly well and each have enjoyable personalities and quirks Andrea in particular is an extremely amusing character that almost makes the book on her own. I would say the book is safe for young adults there is little swearing and some adult humor but nothing as bad as a 90s cartoon.
