This is a core/advancement type fantasy world. Though also entirely unique. My favorite quote from the whole book: Improve yourself. The series takes you on that journey of self discovery and advancement of the two main characters and their efforts to save Lindon’s hometown and all of reality. Unlike other books in this genre it doesn’t spam the character with machismo guilt ridden desire to control and save everyone; it doesn’t make the main character an accidental recipient of “God mode” and then the rest a discovery of powers rather than character. It stays true to the character and each face real odds and obstacles.
