Well told, very sad story. The parts read by Kevin Pierce are up to his usual excellent standards. He’s the gold standard in my opinion as a true crime narrator.

Rebecca Morris, to the contrary, was nothing but a distraction from the first word she narrated to the very last. Why in the world would she read like that? Siri sounds more human and displays more emotion and voice inflection. She would be perfect for a 1970’s film as the voice of an emotionless computer. As the voice of Susan Cox Powell, she was probably the worst choice of any narrator possible. I think Randy Macho Man Savage would have done a better job. At least he would have made the emotion in his voice match the emotions inherent in the text being read.

So, Kevin Pierce get 5 stars and Rebecca Morris drags the overall score down to three stars with her sub-one star performance.
