I was a little put off by the voices. There was one that was so creepy, I almost couldn’t listen anymore. Since my daughter read this book and told me to give it a listen, I yelled at her for it. She read the book and didn’t know the audio would be creepy. But she said he is a bad guy, so you don’t want him to sound nice. After that I realized the creepiness was perfect. I can’t wait to start the next book. I’m from the Sacramento area and all these places I know personally. That’s why I was upset about the girls walking home on J Street. That’s the worst street and most dangerous in Sac. Also the cop that talked a jumper down from the Foresthill bridge… I lived up there and have driven across that bridge thousands of times. Too many jumpers were not “talked down”. Great book. This is my second time listening in just over a year. That’s the good thing about getting older. I forget stuff lol, and books I read/listen to are new real soon lol.
