This was one of those series that had a promising premise with terrible execution all around. The break for each book seemed arbitrary, like a serialized collection of thoughts rather than worthwhile plot points. The narrator fell flat, especially with his female characters. By book 6, they (author and narrator) stopped being mediocre and fell off completely. The best written and narrated character was Nikki Craven. She should’ve, could’ve been the main character, but she wasn’t.
