The ongoing progression of Wei Shi Lindon and his Arelius family counterparts in a nutshell:
Lindon is faced with overwhelming odds, over- powered opponents and enemies with more strength, training, and weapons than him, yet not only does he survive, he thrives and continues to progress. Copper, Iron, Jade, Gold and on and on.
Everyone is out to murder everyone else to feed their own lust for power and no level of accomplishment can raise you to a degree that would make you above and beyond reproach by another who wants what you have or needs to teach you a lesson and to raise their own stature or progression.
I now have Audible PTSD and battle fatigue from the never ending conflicts and utter lack of actual completion or relative satisfaction that comes with reaching a goal. But I am invested and WW has generously made the entire series part of the Audible Plus catalog, so there’s that.
