I was starting to like this series but the MC this time around is just as dumb as he claims himself to be. Also really not liking his whole ” i was just a conscript and didn’t have any choice in my previous life” only to move on to “I am really too stupid to make adult and rational decisions that go beyond just following orders and believe everything i hear / don’t want to rock the boat”. Like, why is he so invested in keeping a genocidal tyrant alive and well given he owes no allegiance to the country the guy rules and is arguably hurting the overall situation by helping him… Even when confronting the rightful ruler of the country he is more concerned with stopping a few justifiable murders than the overall betterment of the countries citizenry. It makes zero sense. He is so consumed with stopping these few killings but is laughably ok with the genocide angle the bad king is working on… WTF???
