Oddly disappointing. The relationship between the protagonists seems nonexistent yet taken for granted, and without any underlying feelings. The spells all seem to be the same ones repeated over and over again – not much new there. And the new main narrator has a vocal tic which was kind of annoying.
There are two other books in the series after this. Not sure if I’m sad or not that they currently aren’t available on audible.
