I received this audiobook for free from the author / narrator / publisher in exchange for an unbiased review.
This was my first book in the series. Even though this is the 8th book of the series, it works fine as a standalone book. It felt like I didn’t get introduced to the main character properly, but that was to be expected since the introductions must’ve been fleshed out in all the previous books in the series. It wasn’t much of an issue though.
The story of the book starts slowly and doesn’t really get interesting until much later in the book. Even then, I kept listening just for the sake of finishing the book. I wasn’t really invested in the outcome of the shenanigans. It was pretty stale story and I wasn’t "on the edge of seat" ever.
The narrator did a good job with the material provided. There were no problems with sound quality or pitch/speed.
