#2 Action, magic & world history: simplistic & barely hold your interest,
#3 The interesting twist on why Ed is in the magical world, just is not played on enough, to save the book.
#4 You never get invested in any aspect the book or really care what happens.
GOOD STUFF… #1 Pace is fairly constant & not to slow.
A man gets stuck in a magical world & learns how to survive. Performance is good enough. Nothing is particularly good & everything is fair.
