Mostly the story is about preppers having to fight drug addicts and selfish people. I would think it unrealistic EXCEPT having read accounts of WWII, the meanness and cruelty is less in the story than what I am expecting in a real life apocalypse scenario. Also, in real life drug addicts and twisted people kill others all the time. Not much new here, although the handicapped veteran a new and interesting “twist”.

I would not dissuade someone from getting this story, and I may even listen to it again to see if I can glean any useful information, but I probably will not be getting the following sequels.
