Interesting story, but so overwrought.
Filled with stupid tropes, like the old twisted ankle while trying to escape.
Told in two voices, the man (writer) takes paragraphs in the most expressive ways to describe the most mundane things. Both characters are excellent self harmers. Respecting authors in general, I believe in paying for their work, but this story…I frequently used the advance 30 seconds and ultimately set the speed at 1.4xs.
