Odd but interesting.

I have to say that this is one of the strangest stories I’ve read. While it was fun, and the characters were well done, the story itself seemed to come out of a cloud, like the main character never did really wake up after taking cold pills.

It is a depiction of an adolescent fantasy, one from which I kept expecting a philosophical point or moral to emerge. One never did.

It may be that this will progress in the sequel, a book I purchased using credits I had to use or lose before I listened to this one. I hope so, because there is potential here. I want it to be good. Maybe that counts for something.
