This one picks up where The Longest Night leaves off and continues moving at a good pace. they are always being on edge because of the known and unknown dangers that their world now contains after the EMP in the ongoing effort to survive. The relationship between Brad and Sam continues to get stronger and at times it look like it will with Anna too but she’s holding back and still skidish. When Sam saves a 10 year old girl things become complicated and the story quickly intensifies and then leaves off on a huge cliffhanger…. So now I’m on to book three! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes survival, adventure and post-apocalyptic stories. It has been a really fun series but I would also caution that there is some graphic violence and some language including 5-6 uses of the F-bomb thorough the book. I would place it more in the High School level and up.
