The Astral Prime collection was … awesome, but dark. If you expect more Mobius and Esper adventures, you’ll be disappointed. There’s still humor, satire, and a solid story, but this is apocalyptic in a way the other Black Ocean tales never were. I thoroughly enjoyed listening and would absolutely spend the credit again – but I do wish I had known what sort of space epic I was embarking upon before it began.
If you want to see a different side of the Black Ocean and Cedric the Brown, and need a way to spend tens of hours with audio books (because … who doesn’t?) this is a great value for your credit. Just know what you’re getting yourself into.
