Action, adventure, monsters and magic abound. What makes this different is the mature themes (ptsd/rape) and personal growth between characters. It’s not especially dark and I think anyone who loves a good adventure with a clever plot, and great characters would enjoy this story ! Reader did a great job distinguishing between voices of many creatures and a variety of people.
