Very disappointed with this book. Kim Stanley Robinson can do much better. There is almost no plot and barely more vision. Other reviews have mentioned the lack of plot, but I was hoping the “science” parts would make up for it. They did not. This was a short story stretched to absurd lengths by minor side plots that were neither interesting in themselves, nor added to the overall narrative. The little they did add got weaker and more detached as the story progressed. The narration was pretty good, but good voicing of a boring story dose not make it worthwhile. If this were free I would still say “don’t waste your time”
