Not what I was looking for

I was looking for a fast, fun, smutty, escape from the world and that’s not really what I got. I liked Alina (although I hate love triangles and her being the girl no one can help but fall in love with was kind of cliche and off-putting) but Chase’s jealousy really put me off, and I never really cared that much if they ended up together. I was also grossed out by the explicit sex scenes involving teenagers. I get that teenagers have sex, but as far as I’m concerned any sex between underage characters, should be implicit at most.

What I did really appreciate was the portrayal of addiction and the people who become collateral damage of their loved ones’ addictions. I also loved the positive therapy rep, which feels like a rarity.
