I wanted to like Villains Rule, but I just couldn’t,

The voice acting was solid, and it was full of snide comments and winks at the fantasy genre that made it enjoyable. It had an interesting plot and a character who you wanted to learn more about. But the main character just isn’t very nice. He enjoyed seeing a horse die, he left a henchman behind for eight years and he freely admits to being the guy your girlfriend is cheating with. He’s also just plain crude; there was far too much language and comments thrown in just to be crude.

I guess I was hoping more for the kind of villain we got in D-List Supervillain – the one who’s likeable. This book isn’t it.
