For a story about someone taking their first journey into space, where you’d expect an action and aventure yarn, but instead you get what really is fairly a mundane tale of just a dude learning how to live life on a space freighter, the story is well constructed, the characters while not full of gritty details, or much backstory, are engaging, and fun. I’m surprised how much I enjoyed this book.

Might not be the story I wanted, but felt like the story I needed. Without going to deep into it, I think the events of the first chapter will ring true to a lot of us, more so as we hit our middle years, but having to completely start over after tragedy hit pretty close to home for me, and I suspect, something the Author has had to do also.

The reader is also doing a lot of heavy lifting here, so hit tip to him as well. The audio is well produced, and clean.
