Perhaps I hadn’t paid enough attention to what the book was about, but I was surprised to discover that this is not a history of forensic science. Somehow I had gotten the impression that it was going to be about how science has been used to help investigators and how they influence each other. There is a little of that at the beginning – and it is fascinating – but this book is actually a history of Necrosearch International. It is still very interesting and a great read, but at times can come across as an advertisement for the organization. I still recommend giving it a listen, but do go into it knowing what to expect.
