Let me just start by saying I was looking forward to listening to this book. From both the description and the cover image, I had assumed this was going to be some sort of combination of Ghostbusters and The Witcher, with maybe a drop of Guardians of the Galaxy thrown in. That being said, I DID listen to the whole thing, and it’s not bad. It just wasn’t what I was looking for. Most of the dialogue consists of small talk, with people acting far too chill for things occurring to and around them. As for the action, it’s more like re-action, as most of the time the group is just reacting to things that are done to them. The narrator does a decent job for the most part, considering what he has to work with. If you’re looking for a slightly more mature version of the Scooby Gang (minus the dog), you’ll probably enjoy this. As for me, it just wasn’t what I was looking for.
