This is the first book I’ve read by this author and it is excellent. I feel that it rather accurately reflects teenage missteps, The Corps, working as military and also the medical arm in a combat area where civilians are in danger from both sides. There is great depth of feeling expressed by the characters and felt by the reader. The publisher’s blurb gives hints and there is no need to recap the the story here and I dislike spoilers. I truly appreciate this book.
