This is a good story with some very small issues. The MC is slowly coming to grips with his personal losses as well as his responsibilities. The world-building is world-class with the introduction of additional character races and more problems. The pace of the book is well-developed and the author does a great job managing the other supporting characters. I’m looking forward to the next book. I don’t regret using a credit on this book. If you are in between titles or just looking for something new The Fortfier series is not a bad buy.
