Having listened to several of Mr. Robinson’s offerings, this one looked interesting. Upon conclusion and review, it is not nearly as good as some of these others IMHO.
Conceptually it works, but the devil is always in the details, and there is the challenge. Gratuitous references, random violence that does not move the story forward, and at times overly dramatic reading all combine to make this a difficult listen. The story does pose some interesting concepts, to be fair, but they are not clearly made and take far too long to reveal.
Can’t recommend this one, unfortunately. I wanted to.
