Story is very thin with marginally likable characters. The background noises/songs do not add anything to the story. I get that Annie wants a chance to sing, and she is a talented singer and getting better as a voice actor but it doesn’t add value to the story, it detracts. The waxing poetic about instruments and playing chops was a weak plot device that managed to add about 15 minutes to the total length of the book. Not the best effort by SBT or Mr. Cooper.
