I love the John Pickett mysteries and wait with bated breath for each new one. I could have skipped this one. I spent way too much effort fast forwarding over the repetitions to get on with the story — not usually the case when I listen to one. The only good news out of this is that he seems to be moving on with his priviate detective business and we can get past the moaning and groaning over lack of work.
I hope the next book returns to the terrific stories we have grown used to.
