- Would you listen to One Man’s Opus again? Why?
- Probably not. Well, if I wanted to order in stock I would listen to find the website he listed.
- What did you like best about this story?
- It’s a different take on the prepper genre. It wasn’t as thrilling and dramatic as i’d hoped it would be, but the story line was there. The ‘survival’ part I didn’t get because civilization was still fully functioning.
- What three words best describe Kevin Pierce’s voice?
- monotone. repetitive. non expressive
- Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
- No not really. A couple of times i laughed, but i didn’t ever get attached to any characters.
- Any additional comments?
- If you’re looking for an EOTW novel, this isn’t it. Civilization is fully functioning and there hasn’t been any societal calapse. However, it was still enjoyable. The story was good and there was character developement. I think i was just a little underwhelmed. Normally when you see ‘survival and preparedness’ you think that it’s the end of the world as we know it and the characters will legitimately have to live off the land to survive. There wasn’t much of that, but if you are looking for a short to-the-point book I think this one will entertain you.
The narrator narrates a lot of survival/eotw books but I didn’t find his entertaining at all. There is little variation between the voices and if it didn’t specifically say who was talking it would be hard to tell because they all sound the same.
