Neven Iliev is a fine writer but after two hours of listening, the novel never garnered any significant interest for me. At least 50% of the story was recitation of newly acquired stats and various attributes while the MC was going through some type of dungeon coming of age routine and by “coming of age” I mean starting at conception. More disappointment was caused by the fact that there was no other significant characters entering the scene, either protagonist nor antagonist. In all, it was too slow paced for my liking.
Jeff Hays performance, however, was well done, as I’ve come to expect.
Regrettably, I’ll be returning this one for refund.
