If you have become a fan of Morin’s wonderful and funny characters, then this will be a let down. The characters take longer to get to know and only one main character breaks the stress of the drama with a lot of humor. I love listening to the Black Ocean books, so I was expecting something similar. It is similar, but lacks much of the humor that I have come to love so quickly.
This is still completely worth the read and I’m glad I bought the series.
