I have a hard time with characters that consistently do dumb things. It doesn’t make the book more exciting, it makes it frustrating that people are so stupid. That’s what most of this book did to me. Along with stupid people making huge mistakes, the pagan storyline and all the “deep thoughts” from the characters on it’s possible reality got really boring. Otherworldly presences in an EMP novel? Seriously? I had to skip a bunch and I’ve never done that with a Franklin Horton book.
Kevin Pierce was fantastic as always!
