Good enough to keep reading. But then those books aren’t great either.
First the whole story lacks intelligent detail. Based around a “Genius” who took credit for building an amazing ship, yet we did not get any details about the ship. We didn’t get cru size. The rest of the books continue in this lack of detail. Or laziness from the writer.
Second when you write a character like this you have to put in the work to give him depth. Not oh I once saw this on a documentary. Or I learned this in basics at the military. Very convenient crap.
I’m not a writer so I feel like I can’t judge too hard. But people need to stop rating these books so high.
Third the performance from the narrator was lacking to say the least. He has a limit to his voices.
