This story/series had potential. I enjoy dystopian fiction and the description of this book sounded right up my alley. Unfortunately the execution was lacking. Too simplistic and black and white. The good guys were all one dimension saints and the bad guys were all one dimensional demons. Then there was the dialog. Normal conversations amongst the good guys was generally fine but shallow and uninteresting, but the bad guy dialog was absurdly stupid and every bad guy was a carbon copy of the other bad guys with the same shallow bad guy dialog and motivations. It got really old and boring halfway through the first book and never let up. Just lazy unskilled writing.
