So I started this, stopped for a while, then listened to Hellion which I enjoyed so I decided to give this another try. Tons of dialogue between characters that are so boring to listen to, they have no wit and all attempts at humor are awful, then it’s followed by internal dialogue of Finn thinking more about that same boring conversation. Anyway I forced my way through the book because the 3rd book had slightly better reviews. Turns out book 3 is more of the same and 16 hours into the 3rd book I stopped and returned it. It’s like there’s never a real climax because everything is dragged out so long and everything is deliberated about for an hour before any decision is made. I like the storyline with Jason and the world of AO is super cool but these books feel like endless deliberation and dialogue and hardly any plot and 3 is the same (granted I stopped 3/4 of the way through book 3).
