I am a 46 year old mommy of four kids who lost her dad five years ago. This novel was gut-wrenching and heartwarming, funny and solemn, beautiful and ugly, happy and sad. It was everything the “Grief Life” is. I recommend this book to ANY aged person who knows what it feels like when Tiger says she’s been “carved out on the inside”. Thank you, Kathleen Glasgow, for your profoundly eloquent novel. You explained me perfectly and for once I don’t feel so alone.
I will be submitting this to my school committee for review to add it to our middle/high school required reading list. It needs to be read by all those who struggle with the loss of a loved one.
