This story is not what the title suggests. I had read reviews but still it was better than I expected. A human space engineer(Carter) finds himself on a slave planet with two cat like alien cellmates and they escape their captors together. The two aliens have bonded during their enslavement and protect eachother and think the human is an omega and needs protection. Carter and the two aliens don’t understand one another and this poses further challenges. It’s well written and well developed. Slavery was depicted well and the differences in characters and difficulties of communication was clear. I especially like that you hear the point of view of each character seperately and they are very different. Joel Leslie did a decent job with the different voices. I personally don’t like his voice in general because its over the top but it worked here.
