I love PW’s writing and stories – Debt Inheritance is my favorite series. Here, the main plot is great, however, subplots related to Sully’s character traits are odd to me, namely his extreme affinity for animals to the exclusion of humans. His capacity for such deep love is inconsistent with his stunted emotional state. I understand trust issues but this goes to the max degree. Also, at least one of his major decisions seems unreasonable and unlikely under the circumstances.
The narration was great! I would recommend this book for established fans. I encourage new readers to begin with another PW series.
