I typically love all the narrators for Huss’s books. But this guy, sorry, I’m sure he’s great with other books and his acting skills are amazing, but not for Vaughn. I actually appreciated the extra acting he put into it with the chuckling and sighing. I could hear the facial expressions of his character. Most of the narrators don’t do that and it did add to the character. He kind of sounded like the way older goofy uncle. But I don’t want to dismiss his dope acting skills, because he’s great at that. Rob Shapiro is also a non-favorite for me for any of Huss’s books. Again, great actors and narrators, but not for Huss/McClain’s male characters. Autumn rocked it though. At first I was a little annoyed by her “valley girlness” but was won over by the other characters she did and well, the valley girl in her makes her sound a little like Julie IRL, so it fit. The story was great and I was just so please how Julie manages to get in all the manic thinking women do and yet delivers a strong woman in which we can relate too. I also love that she writes men who respond to all the “dominant” and “independent” quirks of her female characters. I often say that what attracts men to me is the same thing they end up resenting me for. I relate to Grace ALLOT. Just keep in mind ladies and gents, it’s all fantasy and men don’t work this way, at least IRL where it’s not considered hyper abusive, lol. At least, that has been my experience. This story had me cringing, laughing and even talking the characters through it out loud, lol. That’s when you know you have a great story!
