I loved the Necromancer series so I decided to give this a try. I’ll be returning it. Less than an hour in and I’ve literally stopped listening several times while it drones on. Estrella includes so much detail that to do it justice, the narrator needs to put emphasis where it is due.

Froomkin has one speed, one cadence – and each sentence runs into the next. Is there such a thing as sing song monotony? I couldn’t imagine listening to it for 19 hours.
